How do you respond to life's challenges?

The ability to endure and grow through adversity lies not in changing the world around us but in changing how we respond to it. By mastering the mindfulness, catching our thoughts, shifting our mindset, feeling deeply, and acting intentionally, we reclaim the freedom to shape our lives , no matter our difficulties.Explore our site to learn about Personal Resilience, and then connect with us to start your journey!

What is Personal Resilience?

Personal resilience is not about avoiding hardship but about how we navigate it. It is built on five foundational abilities: pause, catch, shift, feel:, and act. These are the steps we take to face life’s challenges with courage, clarity, and compassion.Pause: The power to pause gives us the space to step back, breathe, and prevent an automatic reaction.Catch: The ability to catch our thoughts, emotions, and reactions as they arise allows us to become aware of how we respond.Shift: Once we recognize our patterns, we can shift our mindset. We choose how to frame our challenges, seeing them as opportunities for growth.Feel: Feeling our emotions fully without judgment enables us to process them. Embracing our emotional experiences is an essential part of healing and growth.Act: Resilience ultimately leads to action—the purposeful steps we take toward solutions, healing, and meaningful change in our lives.Click on the video below to watch our co-founders talk about the WyldFig approach to Personal Resilience. About Us

Travis Thompson and Jacque McCormack, co founders of WyldFig, have spent decades helping people and organizations develop the mental and emotional “root systems” needed to bounce back from setbacks. They love the metaphor of the wild fig tree: just as its deep, wide roots let it survive drought and erosion, personal resilience grows when we anchor ourselves in mindfulness, reframe our perspectives and respond rather than react. Their shared belief is that we can’t always change our circumstances, but we can change how we respond to them — and that makes all the difference.
